Pathfinders is an activity based uniformed organization specifically designed for 10-17 year olds. It is an international uniformed organization that is supported by local Seventh-day Adventist churches. The Pathfinder club program is operated by trained volunteers.
The program provides:
1•Opportunities to develop self worth in a fun, safe and caring environment.
2•Appreciation of Christian spiritually and its role in personal lifestyle.
3•Development of leadership and positive group skills through teamwork and fun problem solving experiences.
4•Experiencing and developing skills in outdoor and environmental issues through practical camping, hiking, nature study and other outdoor adventure activities.
5•Awareness of the satisfaction of serving others and seeking opportunities to assist the local community.
6•Encouraging a healthy lifestyle promoting abstinence from drugs, alcohol, tobacco and other harmful substances.
Pathfinders is a club that will expose you and your child to many different activities.
At our hall nights we have crafts and activities which teach a variety of skills and values, play active games and practice marching. We also participate in acts of community service such as assisting our op-shop and visiting a local nursing home.
We also organise club camps where pathdinders have the opportunity to explore nature and learn various outdoor skills. We also mix with other clubs at Conference events like Pathfinder fairs, rally days, camporees, and the northern expedition held every June long weekend.
Pathfinders is designed to help you and your child develop, predominantly socially, but also physically, mentally and spiritually.
